bike bag class

The bike bag class is a long, one day class where we can build a custom frame bag, top tube bag, seat bag or a messenger bag. We can make a set of panniers too, but that is a two day class, please sign up under the pack making class.

 Private classes can be arranged at any time. I teach about one class per month.

please contact me directly if you are interested in a private class. max class size is 3 students. 1 on 1  or upto 3 participantes. Corporate/ student groups are more than welcome. Project scope can be tailored to your requirements. the class description below still stands but wide project scope.

Cost: $750 per person-includes all materials. with the exception of Dyneema fabrics and Cobra buckles(messenger bags). these item can be special ordered ahead of time for your class. Ultra UHMWPE fabrics are included in the course price.

Space: limited to three students

hours: 9-6 

Duration: 1 person is 1 day, 2-3 students requires 2 days, 

 

Description:

  • No prior sewing experience needed!
  • The class will introduce you to industrial sewing machines, techniques, how to make and adjust  patterns 
  • I'll walk you through making a pattern to fit your frame, how to sew, install zippers, fabric selection and the details that go into making long lasting gear.
  • you get to make your own bike packing bag!This is not a class to build a custom one off pack, but a place to learn the skills to make your own gear.
  • all in stock fabrics and components are made available to you as part of the course material fee. This includes all fabrics except Dyneema. If you want certain Trim colors that I don't normally stock I'll make it happen
  • throughout the class i'll answer any questions about any bags or packs I build
  • If it gets too tricky I'll lend a hand and make sure you leave with a great pack.
